About us
For the past fifteen years we have been working towards the development of sensors and biosensors based on conducting polymers. We have successfully demonstrated sensors for Glucose, Urea, Hemoglobin, Triglycerides, Immunogens and DNA. Sensor arrays (electronic tongue) for analysis of mixtures have been demonstrated and also sensors for metal ions such as potassium. It appears that we now have a suite of sensors that can lead to useful products for the market. A suitable combination of sensors can produce a lab-on-a-chip for diagnostic purpose. Besides, some of these sensors are also suitable for evaluating the quality of items of daily consumption like water and milk. These can also be adapted to determine soil parameters relevant to agriculture.
With this background, over the last three years a concerted effort has been made to develop Polysense Aqua a Water-Quality Monitoring System. We are now ready with a system that can estimate pH, conductivity, TDS, chlorides, nitrate & salinity. This seems an opportune time to launch a company to take this and other sensor-based products to the market. We are located at the business incubation facility provided by SINE, IITB.
